Do you guys try the new version on their website? The new version Xilisoft Video Converter Platinum acted stable and converted all the videos I fed it with. The flexibility of the software allows editing the settings for the output result as well as choosing one of the preset configurations. You can practically customize it the way you want it. It is perfect for home use.

I agree with tbristol and nicholaspet...BEWARE! This software did a horrible job converting the MOV files from my Kodak Z812 camera to WMV. In spite of the settings I made, it changed the original dimensions of 640x480 to 160x120 and speeded up the audio to twice the speed of the video - I sounded like Mickey Mouse! Plus it crashed my computer three times! I'm so grateful for the warning of others - I didn't spend any money on this worthless software.

The product does not work. Went back and forth with their support for 3 weeks. After that I gave up and went with another product and they refused a refund. I should have not bought this. Beware.

it does not work on .swf very well. I tried to convert from .swf to .mpeg2 (and then anything else I could try) and it failed every time. Oh, and this was after I shelled out the $35. Waste of time and money.

fooz, I met the same problem with you before. Have you tried to add files from "File>>Add Directshow Files..." ? When it failes, I just load files in this way, and it works for me.
